Character: It is a colorless transparent crystal or white crystalline powder with a relative density of 2.534 and a melting point of 880ºC. It is easily soluble in water and insoluble in ethanol. It weathers in dry air and loses crystal water at 100ºC. It easily absorbs water to deliquesce in air.
