Properties: Colorless translucent crystalline or white particles, or white crystalline powder. Odorless, with an extremely acidic taste. Soluble in water, alcohol, and ether. Calcium salts are more soluble in cold water than in hot water.

Uses: Widely used in the food industry as an acidification agent, PH buffer, and preservative. Ideal substitute for phosphate in the detergent industry. Also used in chemical cleaning of boilers and as a rinsing agent. Mainly utilized as a food acidity agent, and in the preparation of medicine cooling agents and detergents.
