Appearance: Anhydrous is a white crystalline powder, with a relative density of 2.53. It has a melting point of 851°C and decomposes when heated to 400°C. It is insoluble in ethanol, soluble in water, and the solution is strongly alkaline. It easily deliquesces, absorbs CO2, and produces sodium bicarbonate. The monohydrate form is a fine white crystal or powder with a relative density of 1.55. It is stable at room temperature and becomes anhydrous when heated to 100°C. The decahydrate form is colorless transparent crystallization with a temperature of 34°C and a relative density of 1.44, easily weathered in the air.

Application: Sodium Carbonate is an important chemical raw material used in making chemicals, cleaning agents, detergents, as well as in photography and manufacturing pharmaceutical products.
